It is a wee bit on the bulky side when folded, but if you lay it flat on the top of your carry-on it's easy to transport. I would not want to travel ovenight in coach without it. As someone who has a very difficult time sleeping in an upright position this gives me another option or two. There is also a handy flap where you can rest your hands. It is very easy to inflate and takes a lot less effort than it looks...It also collapses in seconds. I love it!

This product does not work. It is very uncomfortable. It does not rest on the tray in front of me like it was shown on the picture.

Very disappointed. Was on long trip to Asia. Could never use comfortably and got rid of it rather than have the big/bulky item taking up valuable space. Especially hard to use if you are flying economy since there is very little space to put the item if the seat in front of you is lowered and you are trying to fit yourself in too. I am tiny and someone bigger would have an even harder time fitting.

I had high hopes for this pillow but found the sleeping position I had to assume to use it uncomfortable. It might work for a stomach sleeper. I'm a side sleeper. I returned it. I was trying it out back when there was a little more room between the seats. I can see how it would be a nightmare now. I will say that the quality was good and there was no problem making a return if you want to give it a shot.

Like anything else having to do with sleeping comfort, whether or not you will like the Skyrest is a highly individual matter. If you usually sleep on your stomach, this product is probably the best you will find.
If you are tall (like me) put it on the tray table with an airline pillow on top and a blanket over that. You can also put it flat on your lap if you are shorter. You can under- or over-inflate it to taste. And it inflates about 2/3 of the way just in the process of unfolding it. I have had success with it regardless of what the person in front of me does, as long as he/she doesn't change position frequently.
That said, it is a bit bulky when deflated. The sleeve on the front intended for your hands is only adequate if you have small hands and narrow shoulders. I would also guess that it might not be too comfortable if you are significantly overweight. Moreover, the surface is not very plush, so plan on using the airline's blanket over it. And it works best when its use is preceded by a glass of Merlot and two PM Tylenol.
However, I have used this product on multiple West Coast to Europe trips and it is the best option that I have found.
