Embossed incorrectly, "United State" instead of "States"

I ordered a tan wallet. Yes, it is leather, but the front is embossed "United State of America" (singular)instead of "United States of America" (plural). Shame on the seller for not looking at the product before shipping it out. I don't know if other colors are affected or not. By the way, this wallet is not an RFID blocking wallet, so it will not safeguard the electronic chip on the new passports.

Nice leather passport holder.

The product arrived as nubuck like a horse saddle and not finished leather like a shiny leather couch. I don't mind it this way, it has a nice velvety feel, attractive natural color and a fresh leather odor. This condition of the leather does mean that I will have to spray it with a leather waterproof-er to prevent it from staining and soiling quickly from handling. It has one credit card size, four larger (passport sized), and one small pocket large enough to perhaps hold a quarter. The thread that holds it together is disconcertingly fine and I hope the glue in the seams is stronger than the thread looks. The odd thing about it is the misprint, "United State of America". This is incorrect on many levels. I am not too dismayed by this small oversight as I don't plan on flashing it around a lot, agreeing with another reviewer in that there are few countries that you want to advertise that you are an American (and therefor assumed wealthy).

Tricky Product Image

I ordered this product in black. When I got it, I was disappointed.

The material on this item was not what I expected. I was expecting a full-grain leather material, just like the one shown on the product image. It was also listed as one of the product features.

Instead, I received one that was constructed out of a duller, smoother leather. It didn't have the same texture appearance as the one shown on the product image. In fact, it had little or no texture at all.

I'm not sure if this only applies to the black version. It's possible that the other colors might be okay.

I will, however, keep this item because it does feel sturdy. That's why I gave it three stars. It's still a decent quality passport cover. Besides, I don't like going through the whole return process.

If you like the dull, texture-less feeling leather, then I would recommend this product. Other than that, don't be fooled by the product photo like I was.

not for backpackers

This leather passport cover is OK, it could use some improvements. I thought the leather would be thick but its really thin. The kind of traveling I do is backpacking for months at a time. Not some one week vacation. I doubt the thin leather this cover is made from could keep your passport from bending. It could have used a zipper to keep it from flapping open. Maybe an area to keep cash in like wallets have would have been nice too. I think there are better passport covers than this one out there.
